Welcome to Silver Birch Outdoor Learning

Silver Birch Outdoor Learning

I started Silver Birch Outdoor Learning in 2019, because I wanted to reach people in my community and help them to spend quality time outdoors.

During the week I work in educational settings with children between the ages of 4 and 19. Outside of these hours, I run community groups, events and workshops at various venues in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Forest School & Outdoor Learning

Engaging children in nature-based learning experiences to enhance their development and wellbeing. I have worked in Nurseries, Primary Schools and Alternative Provisions in Berkshire and Oxfordshire for over 10 years.

Community Groups

Adult workshops to foster nature connection and improve mental health and wellbeing. Examples include my Menopause/Perimenopause Support Group which I facilitate once a month, in Caversham, Reading.

Held at Path Hill Adventures in the beautiful Chilterns, our sessions help you to be mindful and slow down. You will be guided to take in the forest by engaging all your senses and connecting to the nature all around you.

Forest Bathing, Natural Mindfulness & Woodland Retreats

I am a GB qualified archery instructor and can run family and group sessions by arrangement on a local woodland range.

Beginners Archery /
Tomahawk & knife throwing
Slow Stitching workshops

I ran a sewing company for a decade and have developed a 4 week mindful stitching programme to help you to slow down and try something new.
